The goal

Guess the hidden five-letter word in six tries.

Guessing

Type a five-letter word with the keys below (or your keyboard) and press Enter.
Each guess must be a real word. Words not in the list shake and aren’t counted.

The colors

Green: the letter is in the word, in that spot.
Gold: the letter is in the word, in another spot.
Gray: the letter isn’t in the word (or not as many times as you guessed it).
The keyboard keeps track of what you’ve learned about each letter.

Modes

Normal: guess any word in the list.
Hard: green letters must stay in place and gold letters must be used in every later guess.
Your record and guess distribution are kept separately for each mode.
