Play Scorpion

The goal

Build four full runs from King down to Ace, each in a single suit. A finished run clears off the table by itself.

The layout

  • One deck is dealt into seven columns of seven cards. In Classic, the bottom three cards of the first four columns start face down.
  • The last three cards wait in the stock (top left). Finished runs collect at the top right.

Moving cards

  • A card can go on the next card up in its own suit: the 7♠ on the 8♠.
  • You can pick up any face-up card, and every card on top of it comes along, in order or not.
  • Only a King, with whatever is on it, can go into an empty column.
  • When you uncover a face-down card, it turns face up.

The stock

  • Tap the stock once to deal its three cards onto the first three columns. There are no redeals.
  • Dealing buries those columns a little deeper, so it often pays to wait until you need new cards.

Modes

  • Classic: twelve cards start face down. Relaxed: every card starts face up, so you can plan the whole game.
  • Every deal in both modes can be won. Records are kept separately for each mode.

Controls

  • Drag a card to move it, with everything on top of it.
  • Double-tap a card to send it to its spot.
  • Undo takes back moves and the deal. New game can also restart this deal.
  • Once every column is a single run, the game finishes itself.
