How to play Pyramid

The goal

Card values

• Ace = 1, number cards are worth their number, Jack = 11, Queen = 12 and King = 13.
• So pairs are A+Q, 2+J, 3+10, 4+9, 5+8 and 6+7. A King is 13 on its own.

Which cards you can use

• A pyramid card is free once both cards covering it (the two just below) are gone. Blocked cards are shown faded.
• The top card of the draw pile (next to the stock) can also be used.

Playing

• Tap a free card to select it, then tap another free card. If they add up to 13, both are removed.
• Tap a King to remove it right away.
• Tap the selected card again to deselect it.
• Tap the stock to turn over a new card. When it runs out, tap its empty spot to go through the pile again (see Difficulty for how many times).

Difficulty

• Easy: go through the stock as many times as you like.
• Normal: three passes through the stock.
• Hard: one pass. Once the stock is gone, it’s gone.
• Choose in New game. Your records are kept separately for each difficulty.

Scoring

• +5 for each pair (or King) removed.
• +25 each time a row of the pyramid is cleared, and +500 for clearing the whole pyramid.

The end

• Clear the pyramid to win.
• If no pairs are left and there are no passes left, the game ends. Undo is always there if you want to try another way.
