The goal

Roll five dice to make scoring combinations and fill all 13 boxes on your scorecard. Against the computer, finish with the higher total; in Solo, go for your best score.

Your turn

  • Tap Roll to throw all five dice. You get up to three rolls a turn.
  • Between rolls, tap any dice to hold them (they slide to the front of the tray), then roll the rest. Tap a held die to let it go.
  • After any roll you can score: every box you can fill shows what it would score. Tap one to fill it.
  • Every turn you must fill exactly one empty box, even if it scores 0. There are 13 rounds, one for each box.

Upper section

  • Ones through Sixes: add up only the dice showing that number. Three 4s in Fours scores 12.
  • Score 63 or more across the six upper boxes (three of each number on average) for a 35-point bonus.

Lower section

  • Three of a kind: at least three dice alike. Scores the total of all five dice.
  • Four of a kind: at least four dice alike. Scores the total of all five dice.
  • Full house: three of one number and two of another. 25 points.
  • Small straight: four numbers in a row, like 2-3-4-5. 30 points.
  • Large straight: five numbers in a row, 1-2-3-4-5 or 2-3-4-5-6. 40 points.
  • Five of a kind: all five dice alike. 50 points.
  • Chance: any dice. Scores their total.

More five of a kinds (joker rules)

  • If you roll five of a kind again after scoring 50 in Five of a Kind, you get a 100-point bonus on top of whatever box you fill. (No bonus if that box holds a 0.)
  • Once the Five of a Kind box is filled (50 or 0), a five of a kind must go in its matching upper box if that is empty (five 3s go in Threes).
  • If that upper box is filled, use any empty lower box. Full house, Small straight and Large straight then score their full 25, 30 and 40.
  • If the lower boxes are all filled too, put a 0 in any empty upper box.

Modes

  • Easy, Normal and Hard: you go first each round, then the computer takes its turn in the second column. Higher total after 13 rounds wins.
  • Easy chases the most common number and grabs the biggest score; Normal plays steadily; Hard works out the odds for every hold and box.
  • Solo: no opponent. Play all 13 rounds for the highest score you can.
  • Undo takes back your last roll or box (and the computer turn that followed). The dice are set when the game starts, so rolling again gives the same faces.
  • Keyboard: Space or R rolls, 1–5 hold dice, Ctrl/⌘+Z undoes.
