Play Clock

The goal

Turn every card face up, sending each one home round the clock, before the fourth King turns up.

The clock

  • The 52 cards are dealt face down into 13 piles of four.
  • Twelve piles sit round a clock face, one per hour: Ace at 1 o’clock, 2 at 2 o’clock … Jack at 11 and Queen at 12. The Kings’ pile is in the middle.

Playing

  • Tap the middle pile to turn its top card.
  • Tap the turned card (or drag it) to send it home: it tucks face up under the pile for its rank. The clock hand and a glowing outline show where it goes.
  • Then the top face-down card of that pile turns up, and so on. Every move is forced, so there are no wrong choices.
  • Auto play plays the cards for you; tap it again to pause.
  • On a keyboard: Space or Enter plays the next card and A toggles auto play.

Winning

  • The game ends when the fourth King turns up, because the Kings’ pile has nothing left to turn.
  • If every other card is already face up, you win. Otherwise the deal is lost.
  • It’s all down to the shuffle: about one deal in thirteen comes out. Your win rate and best time are kept.
