Box Pusher looks simple: walk around a warehouse and push every wooden box onto a green target. The catch is that you can only push, never pull, so one careless shove can leave a box stuck for good. These tips help you see the traps before you walk into them.
The rules in one minute
Walk into a box to push it one square, as long as the square beyond it is empty floor.
You can never pull a box, and two boxes in a row won't budge.
A level is cleared when every box sits on a target. A box glows green when it is on one.
Swipe to step, keep dragging to keep walking, or tap a square to walk there. On a computer, use the arrow keys or W, A, S, D.
Know the dead squares
A box pushed into a corner can never come out, so unless that corner is a target, the level is lost. The same goes for a box pushed against a wall with no target anywhere along that wall: you can slide it along the wall, but never away from it.
Before each push, ask where the box could go next. If the answer is "nowhere useful", undo and try another way.
Plan from the targets backwards
Work out which box goes to which target before you start pushing.
Fill the targets deepest in a dead end or corridor first, so later boxes don't block the way in.
Picture where you need to stand for the final push into each target, and keep that square free.
Leave open floor in the middle of the room as long as you can: it's where you turn boxes around.
Watch out for boxes blocking each other
Two boxes side by side against a wall are both stuck, and four boxes (or boxes and walls) in a 2×2 square can never move again. Keep boxes at least a square apart until they're heading for their targets.
In narrow corridors, think about whether you'll need to get past a box later. Once you push a box into a one-square-wide passage, you can only reach the far side by going around.
Use undo, restart and par
Undo goes back as far as you like, one step or one tap-walk at a time, so experiment freely.
Restart puts the level back to the start when you have gone too far down a dead end.
Each level shows a par: the fewest pushes that clear it. Match it and the level gets a star in the Levels list.
Your best time, fewest moves and fewest pushes are kept for every level, and clearing a level unlocks the next.
