Play Color Links

The goal

Join each pair of matching dots with a line, and fill every square of the board.

Rules

  • Lines run between squares up, down, left and right, never diagonally.
  • Lines can’t cross or share a square, and they can’t pass through other dots.
  • The puzzle is solved when every pair is linked and no square is left empty.
  • Every puzzle is new and has exactly one solution.

Drawing

  • Drag from a dot to draw its line. Drag from anywhere along a line to carry on from there.
  • Drag back over your own line to shorten it.
  • Drawing over another color’s line cuts it back. Move off again before you let go and it comes back.
  • Tap a dot to clear its line. Undo takes back your last line.

Progress

  • Links shows how many pairs are joined, and Filled how much of the board is covered.
  • A joined line’s squares take a stronger wash of its color.
  • Each dot has a letter as well as a color, so pairs are easy to match whatever colors you see.

Difficulty

  • Easy: 5×5 board with 4 to 6 colors.
  • Normal: 7×7 board with 6 to 8 colors.
  • Hard: 9×9 board with 9 to 11 colors.
  • Your best times are kept separately for each difficulty.

Keyboard

  • Press a dot’s letter to pick that color, then use the arrow keys to draw from its line’s end. Backspace clears it, Esc lets go, and Ctrl or ⌘+Z undoes.
